4/26 - When Owa Owa was returned after being adopted he had 2 seizures two days in a row. They were mild seizures but we put him on hold so we could observe him. We did take him to the vet and they could find nothing wrong which is not unusual. We have been observing him for several months now and he has had 2-3 more seixures about a month apart. They are mild and we pick him up, cuddle him and sing to him and he comes out of them just fine. He does not have them often enough to justify putting him on medication as it is very hard on their liver/kidneys. So until and unless we find a home who is familiar with seizures he will stay here with me. I my own seizure dog so I am very familiar with it and can take care of him thru it. 12/5 - Owa Owa is back with rescue but is on hold for the time being...
Owa Owa has vet appointment on 10/19 for exam & vaccinations and 11/8 for Neuter/Dental. He will be available for adoption after he heals.
10/8 - PCM RESCUE WELCOMES - Owa Owa...
Owa was found roaming around an apartment complex and rescued by a good citizen around Labor Day. He was posted around the apartments and social media and HS was contacted but he was never claimed by his owners. His rescuer could no longer keep him so contacted us. Owa is an intact male and my best guess is he is between 5-8 years old and about 6lbs. We will see what the vet says. Because we have no records he will need to be fully vetted and have a dental. Will be calling the vet Monday to schedule all of it. He is a shy little guy and seems to just want to be near his person. He will need work on potty training and neutering will help. In the meantime he wears a belly band while inside. We got him all groomed up, evening out his coat, all matts removed and his nails trimmed. His rescuer did shave part of him as he was a poopy mess in the rear but he will blossom into a beautiful dog in no time. He will be available once his vetting is complete...
